according to denniises rule and recent pm that all 2012 drafted players not being allowed to be picked up yet this traded has been vetoed

Interesting how the pm you sent before Dennis made no mention of the 2012 rule. That's why Ben quit. You guys need to be consistent.

The rule was only players from the 2012 draft class (not all minors). I was just protecting the ones from 2012 who may or may not have been picked up by other players. All other minors are fair game. Addison Russell was drafted 11th overall in the 2012 draft so he is one of those players who cannot be picked up. That is the reason the trade was vetoed. I also find it odd that someone would quit over something that would protect other owners rights for a 2 week period of time.
This rule was modified to give an extension of 2 weeks for this season only because we had to put a rule in place near the beginning of the season. With new owners here it would have been unfair IMO to expect them to learn everything about this league and have time to figure out that that they might lose rights to their players who were drafted last year.

We gave owners 9 months to pick up the players that THEY drafted. That is ample time IMO. It's not difficult to make sure you have your players in fantrax.
The issue I have is that Richie's post made no mention that 2012 draft picks weren't fair game. Therefore, I grabbed Russell with my first add at midnight, and I won him. If I had known 2012 picks were off limits, I would have used my first pick up on someone else, but now I lose out because Richie did not make mention of this. I'm sure you can see where I'm coming from. Rules can't be made last minute and then changed after the fact.
