Wasn't sure where I should post this, but what is up with changing the amounts in the offseason? I can see changing it going forward, but how do you just bump up the amounts now, based on last years results? baseballdcdynasty.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rules&action=display&thread=8I know we've been changing a lot of things, but that really isn't something that 1) needed to be changed or 2) couldn't just be changed prospectively.

I agree Meidus...I hope that things like this can be decided and posted so that everyone can see it and clearly know what's going on. Pretty big difference between .5M and 5M when it comes to trying to land some FAs or RFAs.

they informally stated the new amounts immediately after last year's season. it really should have been formalized though.

If its after the season it still shouldn't count for the season that just finished though. But yeah Richie needs to formalize a lot of stuff (it doesn't even say anywhere on the site that RFA bids are open or the deadline for them - it just says any received after the deadline don't count). You can't just post things in the chatbox and hope that somehow all 24 teams are able to read it before it gets pushed away by new messages.

I think your last line is what I agree with 100% I know there are TONS of things going on, and I appreciate the work of Dennis and everyone else making this league run, but I think to be fair to everyone involved, big things such as RFA bidding needs to be written, and clear and sent to all GMs. Then, everyone knows the rules. It is hard to see every post from the chat log, people live all different places and schedules are all different too.

I PM'd Richie for clarification on the matter.
I only see the information in Contract Regulations.
