Talked with Richie... and we both like the idea of getting out of the minor league business... lol
meaning... no more posting minors and going through a waiver wire process. You can have up to 40 minors as long as you have the cap room. After we load the rosters and add in the protected minor league players you can add whoever is left, up to 40 total minors. You cannot add players drafted in their current year.... so players drafted this Summer are off-limits until we do the Amateur Draft. Adds and Drops are free... now, just make sure that the player has not gone over 100 IP or 200 AB *.
If they have then they have to go through the regular free agent process.
* if a player goes over 100IP/200AB during the current year then they are still a minor until the following season
Example: Lucas Harrell SP/RP Had 24 IP in 2010, 18 IP in 2011, and so far this year- 2012 has 69 IP for a total of 111 IP. Since he only had 42 IP until 2012 he is still considered a minor for the rest of this year and will be a PP1 at the start of the 2013 season.

There is now a separate rule that applies to each years draft class. So for the 2013 draft class the owners do not have to pick up the player on fantrax until the beginning of the following season. They have to be included in their minor league rosters (proboards). We did this because fantrax does not add all players during the current year. If for some reason the player you drafted is not in fantrax by the beginning of the following season then you can post it in a new board I am making "drafted rookies not in fantrax".
