Twins... he is not eligible to be drafted because he didn't sign until after this draft started and signed a MLB contract (10M per year for 6 years). He is slotted for the big leagues and will only play in the minors until mid-August.
This type of IFA must be bid on in Free Agency.

My fault, just knew he had been drafted and nothing had been said about it being illegal. Tried to re-read through rules but couldn't find it anywhere. Is he FA eligible because he signed after the draft? Or because he signed a Major League contract? Or both? Just wondering for future IFA signings.

Trey.. I bid to keep him from going for a low dollar amount and would be fine with my bid if I got it. You never know with these players. Some work out great and others not so much.

He is slotted for the big leagues and will only play in the minors until mid-August. This type of IFA must be bid on in Free Agency. And to quote the IFA rules: "9. International Free Agents- International FA's that are sent directly to the majors will immediately start the prospect protection process at year 1. They will be available in the UFA draft. If they sign after the UFA draft then they can be bid on in free agency. Any placed in the minor leagues will be reserved for the June Amateur Draft. If the IFA's signed prior to the June draft and are listed as an IFA they will be eligible in that draft. If they sign after the draft then they will not be available until the following season's Amateur Draft. Furthermore, there is talk on the board of Gonzalez making "too much money" or being "too old" etc. These arguments are all undefined (or unstated) in the league rules and as far as I'm concerned have no bearing on whether or not I can draft Gonzalez. Lastly, Puig was drafted in last year's amateur draft. As far as I can tell, there is no discernible difference between Puig's drafting and Gonzalez's.

This is not the UFA Draft.. That was prior to the season starting. This is the Amateur Draft. I am getting Richie involved to get a second opinion.
